DETROIT -- Today is the last day for Chrysler LLC white-collar workers age 62 or older to accept the company’s buyout offer. Today also is the first day for workers ages 53 to 62 to accept Chrysler’s voluntary separation offer, which expires Dec. 31.
Both offers apply only to employees with at least 10 years of experience. Together, the two programs will affect about 1,100 people.
Chrysler, under the ownership of Cerberus Capital Management LP, is reducing its work force.
